From Alberobello en route to Monopoli, we made a pit stop in Ostuni for a few hours. With so many cute towns dotted in the region, we tried to see as many places as we could with the limited time we had. After looking at images online, I knew we had to add it to our itinerary. If you are obsessed with whitewashed houses as I am then you must visit the centro storico of Ostuni (also known as the ‘white city’). As with most places in Puglia, Ostuni is best explored by foot after a generous helping of pasta, of course.
Lunch at Osteria del Tempo Perso
Set in a cave atmosphere, Osteria del Tempo Perso uses the region’s best produce. I mean just how cute is the setting!
Drinks at Borgo Antico Bistrot
Enjoy an Aperol spritz or two at this lovely spot spanning over 3 levels on the top of the old town. I hear they do very decent sized shared platters.
