The Cow Hollow Hotel, Manchester

With just 16 rooms, The Cow Hollow Hotel feels like a home away from home with its cosy and intimate setting. A former textile warehouse turned boutique hotel with all the luxurious comforts, situated in the hip Northern Quarter of Manchester.

The bright lobby area with its white steps, colourful cushions and greenery feels like you’re in Spain not in the middle of the city.

The Room

All rooms come with the comfiest king size beds handmade from railway sleepers with 400-thread count sheets and 100% goose down pillows. Safe to say, we had a great night sleep! Complimentary wifi is available throughout the hotel and Netflix access in each room (winning!)

You’ll find a rainfall shower and REN bathroom products along with a hairdryer, straighteners and curling iron in the bathroom. Super handy and thoughtful!

Standard rooms start from £99 on weeknights and weekends from £149 with complimentary Wi-Fi.

The Breakfast

The room rate comes with a complimentary continental breakfast bag delivered to your room on a cute rustic turquoise tray. You get a choice of hot drink (chosen upon check-in), fresh orange juice, yoghurt with granola, fruit and pastries.

Unique touches

I love staying in boutique hotels because the attention to detail and service is always so much more personal. Head to the Plantation bar in the lobby for a pre-dinner complimentary glass of Prosecco and nibbles.

My favourite is the milk & cookies served before bed, which you can have delivered to your room. Perfect for a snuggle up in bed with Netflix on.

There’s also a self-service tea & coffee station available 24/7 in the Aviary Cafe in the basement. A lovely, cosy nook of the hotel.

Exploring the Neighbourhood

Within a few minutes walk from The Cow Hollow Hotel, you’ll find yourself lost for choice with an array of cafes, restaurants and shops.

Mackie Mayor food hall is less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel and is great for a quick bite to eat. Originally a fresh produce market opened in 1858, it now houses food & drinks vendors under a glass roof. Order the taco combo from Pico’s!

Bundobust is a vegetarian Indian street food restaurant with a communal ambience serving classics like curries, chaats and bhajis.
